In the first month we'll:

  • Evaluate your household's preparedness goals, challenges, resources, and strengths

  • Create a spreadsheet and printables of the current food stockpile you have including total calories, total protein, and the number of people you could feed for one year along with targets for improvement... this will be easy for you to edit and udpate on your own

  • Make an action plan for projects and purchases

  • Identify the best spaces to store your long-term food, with storage options

  • Connect you with our favorite places to buy canned, freeze-dried, and bulk goods

Frequently Asked Questions


How much coaching time will I get in the first month? In subsequent months?
The best progress will come with 1-4 hours of initial consultation then 1-2 hours a week after that. Melissa will work between sessions to send you individualized resources, spreadsheets tracking your current food storage, and a binder with personalized resources to keep in your food storage area.


How do I schedule my first appointment?

Upon purchasing coaching, Melissa will be in touch within one business day to schedule your first session, which will be either via Zoom/Facetime or in person at Melissa's farm or your location, if within 45 minutes of Hickory, NC.


What's the rate per month after the first month?

You'll make a lot of progress in the first month if you're committed to building resilience, but Melissa is here to support you as long as help is needed for $500 a month. You might even pause the coaching plan for months when you don't have time, energy, or funds to devote to preparedness.
